Steel Barricades and Barbed Wire Put Up at Six Locations

Security arrangements have been tightened around the Assembly in view of the proposed student protest and call to gherao the state Assembly on Monday. Police have barricaded roads leading towards the Assembly to prevent protesters from reaching the premises.

Steel barricades have been installed at several strategic points, with barbed wire added to the major barricades. A large number of police personnel have been deployed since 7 am as part of the security arrangements.

For the first time, barricading has also been carried out at the Old Assembly Square, where police are keeping a close watch on movement towards the Assembly.

Multiple Entry Routes Blocked

Barricades have been placed at several important locations, including Shaheed Maidan Square, Mausibadi Hanuman Square, Jagannathpur Durga Temple Square, near Liladhari Bhawan-Jagannathpur Temple, Yogada College Square and in front of Khadeswari Ashram.

The extensive security deployment is aimed at preventing protesters from moving towards the Assembly and maintaining law and order during the demonstration.

Police Fully Prepared to Handle Protest

The installation of steel barricades and barbed wire indicates that the police have made elaborate preparations to deal with a large gathering of protesters.

Police personnel are monitoring both pedestrians and vehicles at various points. Depending on the movement and size of the crowd, the police are expected to implement further measures.

A multi-layered security arrangement has also been put in place around the Assembly premises to prevent protesters from breaching the security cordon.

Students Demand Cancellation of 14th JPSC Preliminary Examination

The student protest is primarily focused on the demand for cancellation of the 14th Jharkhand Public Service Commission (JPSC) Preliminary Examination.

Protesting students have alleged irregularities and a possible paper leak, raising serious questions about the fairness and credibility of the examination.

The students are demanding an impartial investigation into the alleged irregularities. They have also called for cancellation of the examination and a fresh examination in the interest of the candidates.

Assembly Gherao Call Raises Security Concerns

With student organisations planning to intensify their protest and march towards the Assembly, authorities have taken precautionary measures to prevent any untoward incident.

Police teams deployed at different locations are keeping a close watch on the situation. The security arrangements are expected to remain in place as authorities monitor the protest and movement of students throughout the day.
