No School Holiday on August 15 in Ghaziabad; Students and Teachers Must Attend
Schools across Ghaziabad will remain open on August 15 for Independence Day celebrations, with students and teachers required to attend as per the district administration’s directive.
Students and parents expecting a school holiday on August 15 have an important update. While schools generally remain closed on Independence Day, schools across Ghaziabad in Uttar Pradesh will remain open this year as per the district administration’s directive.
According to the order issued by the Ghaziabad District Magistrate, all schools from Classes 1 to 12 will remain open on August 15. Both students and teachers will be required to attend school.
Independence Day Celebrations at Schools
Although schools will remain open, regular academic classes may not necessarily be conducted. Instead, schools will organise programmes to mark Independence Day and celebrate the national festival.
Students will participate in activities related to the country’s history and the freedom struggle. The programmes will focus on developing patriotism, civic responsibility and awareness among students.
Students and parents will also be encouraged to take selfies with the national flag and upload them on the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ website as part of the Independence Day campaign.
Schools have also been directed to invite and honour families of soldiers who lost their lives during the freedom struggle and in wars.
Action for Schools That Remain Closed
The district administration has made it clear that schools must follow the directive. If any school remains closed on August 15 in violation of the order, action may be taken against the institution as per the applicable rules.
Therefore, for students and parents in Ghaziabad, August 15 will not be a regular school holiday this year. Instead, students will be expected to attend Independence Day celebrations and participate in programmes celebrating the nation’s freedom and heritage.
