CM Mohan Charan Majhi Holds High-Level Talks in UAE to Strengthen Odisha-UAE Economic Ties and Attract Investment Across Key Sectors.
Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi held a meeting with UAE Cabinet Member and Minister of Economy and Tourism Abdulla Bin Touq Al Marri on Thursday as part of the State’s investment outreach programme in the United Arab Emirates.

The discussions focused on strengthening economic and investment ties between Odisha and the UAE and exploring new opportunities for UAE-based investors in the State. The Chief Minister highlighted Odisha’s favourable business environment, strong industrial ecosystem and investment potential across key sectors, and invited investors from the UAE to explore opportunities in Odisha.

The second day of Odisha’s investment exploration mission in the UAE featured a series of high-level government and industry engagements. The programme included one-on-one meetings with industry representatives to discuss investment opportunities and potential industrial partnerships in the State.
A roundtable with the aluminium downstream industry was also scheduled to showcase Odisha’s established aluminium ecosystem and opportunities for value-added industries. Discussions with the Indian Business and Professional Council (IBPC) focused on strengthening India-UAE business relations and promoting investment in Odisha.

The delegation also visited Emirates Global Aluminium (EGA) to explore potential collaboration in the aluminium and downstream sectors.
Another industry roundtable with the Bureau of Middle East Recycling focused on recycling, circular economy initiatives and sustainable industrial development.
The day’s programme also included an interactive session with Odisha’s business delegation to discuss business opportunities, market linkages and ways to deepen Odisha-UAE economic cooperation.
The engagements are part of Odisha’s broader efforts to attract global investment and strengthen the State’s position as a preferred destination for international businesses.
