Odisha Welcomes Himachal Pradesh Youth Under Yuva Sangam Phase VII
50-member Himachal Pradesh student delegation visits Odisha under Yuva Sangam Phase VII as Industries Minister encourages cultural exchange, innovation, entrepreneurship and stronger inter-state friendships.
A 50-member student delegation from Himachal Pradesh, visiting Odisha under Phase VII of the Yuva Sangam programme, interacted with Odisha’s Minister for Industries, Skill Development and Technical Education on Friday.
The delegation is visiting Odisha from October 13 to 18 under the Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat (EBSB) initiative of the Ministry of Education, Government of India. IIM Sambalpur has been designated as the nodal institute for Odisha.

Minister Emphasises Youth Exchange and National Unity
Welcoming the delegates, the minister highlighted the importance of cultural exchanges in strengthening relationships among young people from different states. He said Yuva Sangam offers students an opportunity to experience India’s diversity, exchange ideas and develop lasting friendships beyond geographical boundaries.
He emphasised that such interactions promote mutual understanding, openness and adaptability, reflecting the vision of Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat.

Focus on Innovation and Entrepreneurship
Highlighting emerging opportunities in the changing world of work, the minister said artificial intelligence, advanced manufacturing, clean energy and digital technologies are creating new avenues for young people.
He stressed that continuous learning, adaptability and innovation would be essential for future success. Drawing a connection between industrial growth and human capital, he said investment in skilled and talented youth is as important as investment in infrastructure, industries and technology.
The minister encouraged the delegates to maintain their friendships with their counterparts in Odisha and aspire to become innovators, entrepreneurs and job creators rather than merely seeking employment opportunities.

Experiencing Odisha’s Culture and Development
Yuva Sangam aims to strengthen people-to-people connections and promote understanding among youth from different states through immersive exposure visits.
During their stay, the Himachal Pradesh delegation will experience Odisha’s culture, traditions, natural landscapes, development initiatives and institutional achievements.
The visit also provides participants opportunities to interact with local communities and institutions.
The Director of IIM Sambalpur, the Commissioner-cum-Secretary of Skill Development and Technical Education, and other senior officials were present at the interaction.
