These projects are expected to bring a significant transformation to the state’s industrial landscape.

Investment of ₹25,380 Crore
Through these 27 projects, an investment of ₹25,380 crore will flow into the state. Over 52,000 employment opportunities are expected to be created, benefiting local youth and boosting the regional economy.

Key Industrial Projects and Locations
The projects are spread across Ganjam, Jharsuguda, Khordha, Koraput, Anugul, Bhadrak, Sundargarh, Cuttack, Puri, Sambalpur, Jajpur, and Rayagada districts. They cover sectors such as chemicals, textiles, plastics, cement, food processing, and pharmaceuticals.

Notable projects include:

  • SRF Limited (Ganjam) – ₹10,000 crore investment, creating 20,000 jobs.

  • Epsilon Carbon Ashok Private Limited (Jharsuguda) – ₹5,806 crore investment, creating 2,500 jobs.

Focus on Youth and Local Employment
Out of 77,894 jobs generated by these projects, 56,859 have gone to local youth, accounting for 80% of total employment opportunities. Chief Minister Majhi emphasized that these projects are not just factories—they are symbols of regional development.

Industrial Policy and Vision
The Chief Minister highlighted that unlike previous initiatives under “Make in Odisha,” which largely focused on the mineral sector and were limited to MOUs, the current government has expanded industrial development across 16 different sectors. Bureaucratic hurdles that previously delayed industrialization have been removed, ensuring faster project implementation.

Economic Impact and Future Outlook
The new industrial projects mark a golden chapter in Odisha’s industrial history. They are set to open a new direction for the state’s economy and employment, further establishing Odisha as a leading industrial hub in India. In just 165 days, the state government has laid the foundation for 84 industrial projects, securing 1.64 lakh employment opportunities, reinforcing Odisha’s industrial identity and economic growth.
