We Can Charitable Trust celebrates Christmas by distributing school supplies, meals, and conducting a health camp for 200 slum children in Bhubaneswar

We Can Charitable Trust organized a special Christmas Feed at Mahaveer Sangha Sangathan, Nilkantha Nagar, CRP Munda Sahi, bringing joy and essential support to underprivileged children in the area.

Free Supplies and Meals for Children

Around 200 slum children were provided with free notebooks, pens, cakes, and biscuits. In addition, the children were served a delicious Biriyani meal as part of the Christmas celebration, ensuring a festive and memorable experience for them.

Health Camp for Children

A free health camp was also conducted during the event, where Dr. Anupam Behera and his team from Nigam Hospitals carried out health checkups for all 200 children. This initiative aimed to promote the well-being and health awareness of the young participants.

Honouring Contributions in Healthcare

The event also saw renowned psychiatrist Dr. Nirlipta Das being awarded the People’s Doctor award by We Can Charitable Trust founder Smt. Chaitali Shome, in recognition of her significant contributions to mental health and social service.

Smt. Chaitali Shome, a celebrated journalist and social worker who has received numerous accolades for her service, led the event. Members of the trust, including Bijay Samantaray, Satwik Ghosh, Swati Mishra, Aviram Jena, Prita, and Maheswari Natak, participated alongside members of the Mahaveer Sangha Sangathan.
