Massive Financial Aid Released via DBT
On the occasion of Akshaya Tritiya, the state government disbursed financial assistance to 41.68 lakh farmers under the CM Kisan scheme. A total amount of ₹838.48 crore was directly transferred to beneficiaries’ bank accounts through the Direct Benefit Transfer system, ensuring transparency and efficiency.

Drop in Beneficiary Numbers Raises Concern
While the latest disbursement covered over 41 lakh farmers, it is lower than the 51.54 lakh beneficiaries who received assistance in September last year. Nearly 10 lakh beneficiaries have been excluded from receiving the current installment.

Chief Minister Explains Reasons for Exclusion
The Chief Minister stated that farmers who did not meet the required eligibility criteria were excluded. The key reasons include incomplete farmer registration, Aadhaar not linked with bank accounts, pending e-KYC updates, and use of non-unique mobile numbers.

Affected farmers have been advised to visit their respective district agriculture offices and complete the necessary formalities to receive future benefits.

PM Kisan Scheme Provides Additional Support
Alongside the state scheme, the central government continues to provide support under the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi scheme. Eligible farmers receive ₹6,000 annually in three installments.
