Apple has launched its much-awaited first foldable iPhone, the iPhone Duo, alongside the iPhone 18 series at its annual iPhone launch event. The premium smartphone has attracted significant attention from both Apple fans and the global technology community.
iPhone Duo Features a Slim Foldable Design
The iPhone Duo measures just 5.2 mm in thickness when unfolded, making it one of the thinnest foldable smartphones. When folded, its thickness increases to 11.3 mm, while the device weighs around 254 grams.
The smartphone features a 7.6-inch main display and a 5.4-inch cover display. Both displays offer a 120Hz refresh rate, with peak brightness of up to 3,000 nits. The device is powered by Apple’s A20 Pro chipset.
It packs a 4,800mAh battery, which Apple claims can provide up to 31 hours of video playback on a single charge.
Dual 48MP Camera Setup
The iPhone Duo comes with a dual rear camera system comprising a 48MP Fusion main camera with 2x optical zoom and a 48MP Fusion ultra-wide camera.
The phone also features a Center Stage camera on the front cover and a FaceTime camera positioned beneath the inner display. It supports video recording at up to 4K resolution and 120fps.
iPhone Duo Price in India
The iPhone Duo starts at ₹2,99,900 for the 256GB variant. The 512GB model is priced at ₹3,24,900, while the 1TB version costs ₹3,74,900. The top-end 2TB variant carries a price tag of ₹4,49,900.
The smartphone will be available in Star White and Night Sky colours, with sales in India reportedly starting October 23.
Interestingly, the price of the top-end iPhone Duo is high enough to buy a new Maruti Alto, whose price in Delhi starts at around ₹4.07 lakh.
