Cristiano Ronaldo Marries Georgina Rodriguez in Intimate Portugal Ceremony
Cristiano Ronaldo and Georgina Rodriguez tie the knot in an intimate ceremony in Cascais, with their five children and close family members in attendance.
Portuguese football superstar Cristiano Ronaldo has married his longtime partner and model Georgina Rodriguez in a private ceremony in Portugal.
The couple tied the knot on Tuesday, August 11, in Cascais, west of Lisbon, in an intimate civil ceremony. Ronaldo and Rodriguez confirmed their marriage through social media, marking a new chapter in their relationship after nearly a decade together.
The wedding was reportedly a low-key affair attended by the couple’s five children and close family members. Unlike a lavish celebrity wedding, Ronaldo and Rodriguez chose to keep the ceremony private.
From Gucci Store Meeting to Marriage
Ronaldo first met Rodriguez in Madrid in 2016, when she was working at a Gucci store. Their relationship soon developed, and the couple began living together.
After years of dating, Rodriguez announced their engagement on August 11, 2025, sharing a photograph of her engagement ring on Instagram. The couple had previously indicated that they planned to marry a year after their engagement.
Their relationship has remained one of the most closely followed celebrity romances in the football world.
Ronaldo’s Family
Ronaldo has five living children: Cristiano Ronaldo Jr., twins Eva Maria and Mateo, Alana Martina and Bella Esmeralda. Rodriguez has also played an important role in raising Ronaldo’s children.
The couple welcomed their daughter Alana in 2017. In 2022, they welcomed twins, but their newborn son died during childbirth, while their daughter Bella survived.
Ronaldo’s Legendary Football Career
The 41-year-old Ronaldo is a five-time Ballon d’Or winner and one of the most prolific goalscorers in international football.
He made his senior debut for Portugal in 2003 and has continued to represent the national team at the highest level. Ronaldo currently plays for Saudi Arabian club Al-Nassr, having previously represented Manchester United, Real Madrid and Juventus.
He has scored 146 goals in 233 appearances for Portugal, further cementing his status as one of the greatest footballers of all time.
After nearly a decade together, Ronaldo and Rodriguez’s marriage has now turned their long-running love story into a new family milestone.
