ISRO Recruitment 2026: Opportunity for 10th Pass Candidates, 22 Posts Up for Grabs

Candidates preparing for government jobs have an opportunity to apply for positions at the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO). The ISRO Propulsion Complex (IPRC), Mahendragiri, Tamil Nadu, has announced recruitment for 22 posts across various categories.

According to the recruitment details, the vacancies include Technical Assistant, Technician-B, Cook-A and Fireman-A posts. The online application process is scheduled to begin on September 15, 2026, with eligible candidates able to apply until October 5, 2026.

22 vacancies across four posts

The recruitment drive includes five vacancies for Technical Assistant, 13 for Technician-B, one for Cook-A and three for Fireman-A.

The Technical Assistant positions are related to disciplines such as Automobile, Mechanical and Electronics & Communication. Technician-B vacancies include trades such as Fitter, Machinist, Turner, Welder, Electrician and Refrigeration & Air Conditioning.

Eligibility for 10th pass candidates

Several posts are open to candidates who have passed Class 10. For Technician-B, candidates need a Class 10 qualification along with an ITI certificate and an NTC or NAC certificate recognised by NCVT in the relevant trade.

Candidates applying for Cook-A must have passed Class 10 and possess at least five years of experience as a cook in a recognised hotel or canteen.

For Fireman-A, candidates must have passed Class 10 and qualify in the prescribed physical fitness requirements. Technical Assistant applicants, meanwhile, require a first-class diploma in the relevant engineering discipline.

Salary up to ₹1.42 lakh

Selected candidates will receive salaries according to the applicable pay level. Technical Assistants will be placed in Pay Level 7, with a salary ranging from ₹44,900 to ₹1,42,400 per month.

Technician-B posts carry Pay Level 3, with salaries ranging from ₹21,700 to ₹69,100, while Cook-A and Fireman-A posts fall under Pay Level 2, offering ₹19,900 to ₹63,200 per month.

Selection process

Candidates applying for Technical Assistant and Technician-B posts will have to appear for a written examination followed by a skill test. The Cook-A selection process will also include a written examination and skill test.

For Fireman-A, candidates will undergo a written examination followed by a physical fitness test and medical examination.

Eligible candidates can apply online through the IPRC website. Applicants will need to complete the registration process, enter their personal and educational details, upload the required documents and pay the prescribed application fee.

The application fee is ₹750 for Technical Assistant posts and ₹500 for Technician-B, Cook-A and Fireman-A posts.
