Milk prices under the Odisha State Cooperative Milk Producers’ Federation (OMFED) are set to increase from October 4, 2026, with revised Maximum Retail Prices (MRPs) announced for several variants.

The price revision will affect Toned, Premium, Gold and Gold Plus milk. Depending on the variant, consumers will have to pay ₹2 to ₹4 more per litre.

Under the revised rates, the price of Toned Milk has been increased from ₹54 to ₹58 per litre. The 500-ml pouch will be available for ₹29.

Similarly, the price of Premium Milk has been revised from ₹58 to ₹60 per litre, while its 500-ml pouch will cost ₹30.

Gold Milk will be available at ₹62 per litre, with the 500-ml pouch priced at ₹31. Gold Plus Milk, the highest-priced variant among the products listed, will cost ₹66 per litre, while a 500-ml pouch will be priced at ₹33.

Changes in Free Pouch Scheme for Dealers

Along with the retail price revision, OMFED has also made changes to its free-pouch scheme for dealers.

Under the new arrangement, dealers selling 20 litres of Toned Milk will receive one 500-ml pouch free. For Premium Milk, one 500-ml pouch will be provided free for every 30 litres sold.

There will be no free-pouch scheme for Gold Milk.

For Gold Plus Milk, dealers will receive one 500-ml pouch free for every 10 litres sold.

The existing arrangement for replacing leaked or defective milk pouches will continue.

Increase Linked to Milk Procurement Price

The revised retail prices have been attributed to an increase in the procurement price paid to dairy farmers. The milk purchase price has reportedly been increased by ₹2 per litre, following which the new retail prices are being implemented.

The revised OMFED milk prices will come into effect from October 4, 2026. The price revision is expected to provide higher returns to dairy farmers while also changing the retail prices paid by consumers.
