Paradip Port Authority Wins Smart Port Award 2026

The Paradip Port Authority (PPA) has been conferred with the prestigious Smart Port Award 2026 for its operational efficiency and technology-driven development.

The award was presented at the Smart Logistics Conference and Awards 2026, held in Bhubaneswar on Thursday. The event was organised by Maritime Gateway in collaboration with the Government of Odisha.

According to officials, the award recognises Paradip Port Authority’s efforts in adopting smart technologies, promoting innovation, improving operational efficiency and developing a future-ready port ecosystem.

Reacting to the achievement, PPA described the award as another milestone in its journey towards building a smarter and stronger maritime sector.

The award highlights the port’s growing focus on technology-led operations and modern logistics infrastructure, aimed at improving efficiency and strengthening its role in India’s maritime economy.

At the conference, Hemant Sharma, Additional Chief Secretary of Odisha’s Industries Department, presented the state’s port-led industrial and logistics opportunities.

The session also highlighted Odisha’s emerging maritime-industrial corridor and the state’s potential to strengthen multimodal connectivity, cargo movement and logistics infrastructure.

The developments are expected to further enhance Odisha’s position as a key maritime and logistics hub, while supporting industrial growth and improving connectivity across the state.

The recognition of Paradip Port Authority comes as Odisha continues to focus on technology, infrastructure and logistics-led development to strengthen its maritime economy and contribute to the vision of a future-ready India.
