No Changes to Special OTET Question Paper Pattern: Exam Set for September 27 Amid Heightened Security
OSEPA Confirms No Change in Swatantra OTET Question Paper Pattern
Swatantra OTET Scheduled for 27th September 2025
The Odisha School Education Programme Authority (OSEPA) has clarified that the upcoming Swatantra Odisha Teacher Eligibility Test (OTET) will be conducted in its current format, putting an end to widespread speculation about changes in the question paper. The exam is scheduled for 27th September 2025.
Two-Paper Structure Remains Unchanged
Swatantra OTET, a parallel eligibility test aimed at streamlining the recruitment of government school teachers in Odisha, will retain its two-paper structure:
-
Paper I – For candidates aiming to teach primary classes
-
Paper II – For those aspiring to teach middle school
The question types, marking scheme, and overall structure will follow the previous editions of OTET, with no deviations from existing rules.
Stakeholder Feedback Guided the Decision
According to OSEPA officials, the decision to maintain the current format was influenced by stakeholder feedback and the practicality of implementing any major changes on short notice. The authority emphasized that preparations for smooth conduct, including adequate invigilators and strict security measures at exam centres, are underway.
Candidates Advised to Collect Admit Cards
Aspirants are urged to download their admit cards from the prescribed OSEPA website as soon as they are released and to follow all instructions carefully to avoid any last-minute issues.
Coaching and Preparation Intensify
With the examination date approaching, both coaching centres and candidates are intensifying their preparation to achieve the scores required for securing teaching positions in Odisha government schools.
