In a single day, 12 people died due to lightning across Odisha. Koraput reported 4 deaths, including 3 from Laxmipur and 1 from Semiliguda. Two tribal minors died in Buru Sahi, Dharamshala block of Jajpur district. Dhenkanal saw 2 deaths in Kamakhyanagar and Gandia blocks. One laborer died in Soro , Balasore. Ganjam recorded 2 deaths in Kabisuryanagar and Belguntha , while one person died in Gajapati.
