20,000 Shawls and 20,000 Sweaters Distributed to KISS Students Ahead of Winter
KIIT & KISS continue their annual tradition of distributing warm clothing to 40,000 students ahead of winter.
Annual Winter Garment Distribution at KISS
With winter setting in across Odisha, warm clothing was distributed to students of the Kalinga Institute of Social Sciences (KISS) today. Girl students received shawls, while boy students were given sweaters as part of the institute’s annual winter preparedness programme.
Dr. Achyuta Samanta’s Personal Initiative
Every year, before the peak of winter, KIIT and KISS Founder Dr. Achyuta Samanta arranges shawls, sweaters, and winter kits for all KISS students. Continuing his tradition, Dr. Samanta personally procured winter garments from outside the state this year as well.
40,000 Winter Garments Procured from Punjab
Through his personal efforts, Dr. Samanta arranged 20,000 shawls for girl students and 20,000 sweaters for boys, sourced from Ludhiana, Punjab. These garments were formally distributed today at a grand event held on the KISS campus.
Delightful Moment for Students
The students expressed great joy on receiving the winter essentials. The distribution event added to the festive atmosphere on campus as children prepared to face the winter season comfortably.
