Odisha Proposes Online Display of +2 Examination Marks
Odisha plans to make +2 exam marks available online for all streams as joint practical exams continue across the state
The Controller of Examinations of the Odisha Higher Secondary Education Council has announced plans to make +2 (Class 12) examination marks available online. The move aims to ensure transparency, fairness, and timely access for students. The proposal will be implemented once official approval is received.
Online Marks Earlier Limited to Science and Commerce
Previously, only the Science and Commerce streams had their marks assessed and displayed online. Under the new proposal, marks for all streams, including Arts and Vocational courses, will be accessible online, making it easier for students across the state to check their results conveniently.
Joint Practical Examinations Underway
The combined practical examinations (Joint-2 Practical Exams) conducted by OHSEC began on January 2, 2026. More than two lakh students from Arts, Science, Commerce, and Vocational streams are appearing for practical exams this year.
-
Science stream: Over 1 lakh students
-
Arts stream: Around 80,000 students
The practical exams are scheduled to continue until January 15, 2026. Students will be assessed in multiple subjects:
-
Science: 12 subjects
-
Arts: 8 subjects
-
Commerce: 2 subjects
-
Vocational courses: More than 10 subjects
Focus on Transparency and Fairness
According to the OHSEC Controller, the initiative to display marks online is intended to enhance transparency, ensure impartiality, and provide timely access for students and their guardians. The move is expected to benefit thousands of students across Odisha and simplify the process of checking examination results.
