Several key roads around the Red Fort will remain closed to general traffic from 4 am to 10 am on both days. Only vehicles carrying valid passes will be allowed.

Traffic restrictions will affect Netaji Subhash Marg, Lothian Road, S.P. Mukherjee Marg, Chandni Chowk Road, Nishad Raj Marg, Esplanade Road and parts of Ring Road between Rajghat and ISBT. Commuters have also been advised to avoid India Gate C-Hexagon, Tilak Marg, Mathura Road, BSZ Marg, JLN Marg and certain sections of Ring Road.

For the August 13 rehearsal, movement of goods vehicles between Nizamuddin Khata and Wazirabad Bridge will be restricted from midnight to 11 am. Interstate bus services between Maharana Pratap ISBT and Sarai Kale Khan ISBT will also remain suspended during the restricted period.

Several DTC and cluster bus routes will be diverted, particularly those heading towards the Red Fort, Jama Masjid and Old Delhi Railway Station.

Commuters travelling between north and south Delhi have been advised to use alternative routes through Aravind Marg, Safdarjung Road, Panchkuian Road and Rani Jhansi Road. Vehicles travelling between east and west Delhi can use NH-24/NH-9, Barapullah Road and Ring Road.

For security reasons, people have been advised not to carry cameras, binoculars, umbrellas, handbags, briefcases, lighters, tiffin boxes or water bottles to the venue.

Aerial activities including drones, quadcopters and paragliders will remain prohibited in Delhi from August 2 to August 16.
