Security agencies have issued a high alert in Delhi and Uttarakhand following intelligence inputs about a possible threat from Khalistani terrorist elements. Authorities have warned of potential attacks targeting religious places and other sensitive locations.

Following the alert, security has been increased across Delhi’s border areas, metro stations, airports, railway stations and crowded public places. Heavy police deployment has been carried out, while vehicles are being thoroughly checked at several points.

Security agencies and cyber cells are actively monitoring suspicious activities. The public has been advised to immediately inform police about any unidentified or suspicious objects.

Intelligence Inputs Warn of Possible Attacks

According to reports, intelligence agencies have issued a security warning covering areas from Uttarakhand to Delhi. The alert suggests that Khalistani-linked extremist groups may attempt major attacks in the coming days.

Religious sites, government establishments, railway stations and police personnel have been identified as possible targets. Following the inputs, security arrangements have been strengthened at important temples and sensitive locations in both Delhi and Uttarakhand.

Coordination Between Police and Intelligence Agencies

The Delhi Police, Uttarakhand Police and central intelligence agencies are coordinating closely to assess the threat and strengthen security measures.

Police personnel have been instructed to remain highly alert. Investigations are also underway into the origin of threatening emails, the identity of senders and the credibility of the threats.

Security Increased After Chamoli Incident

The security alert comes amid heightened tensions following a recent violent incident in Uttarakhand’s Chamoli district involving a group of Nihang Sikhs and local people.

On June 16, an altercation broke out in Karnaprayag between some Nihang pilgrims returning from Hemkund Sahib and local traders, which later turned violent. According to police, four people were injured in a sword attack. Four accused persons were arrested and sent to judicial custody.

Later, some members of the Nihang group gathered at a gurdwara in Nagrasu, Rudraprayag, and moved towards Dehradun demanding the release of the arrested members. The situation was later brought under control after police intervention and assurances of a fair investigation.

Agencies Maintaining Strict Vigil

This is not the first time security agencies have issued warnings regarding Khalistani-related threats. Earlier too, multiple alerts were issued this year, following which security was strengthened at religious places and important installations.

According to security inputs, some major religious sites are reportedly under threat from Pakistan-based terror networks. Authorities are keeping a close watch on Delhi, Uttarakhand and other sensitive areas to prevent any possible security breach.

Security agencies have urged citizens to remain cautious and cooperate with law enforcement officials during the heightened security period.
