Rough Sea Conditions, Fishermen Advised to Stay Ashore
The Meteorological Department has warned of rough sea conditions along the Odisha coast from April 28 to May 2. Fishermen have been advised not to venture into the sea during this period due to strong winds and turbulent conditions.
Wind speeds along the coast may reach up to 60 km/h, while on May 1 and 2, winds are expected to blow at 45–55 km/h, making sea conditions highly unsafe.
Public Advisory
Residents are advised to stay hydrated, avoid direct sun exposure during peak hours, and remain indoors during thunderstorms. Authorities continue to monitor the situation closely as Odisha faces a dual challenge of heatwave and storm activity.
