Rahul Gandhi Accuses Modi, Amit Shah and CEC Gyanesh Kumar of ‘Vote Theft’
Rahul Gandhi alleges ‘vote theft’ involving PM Modi, Amit Shah and CEC Gyanesh Kumar, vows legal action and urges voters to give Congress a clear majority in Goa.
Congress leader and Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi, has accused Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Gyanesh Kumar of being involved in alleged “vote theft”. He warned that the three leaders would have to face legal consequences for their alleged actions.
Addressing the Congress party’s ‘Go Rakshan Yatra’ in Margao, Goa, on Sunday, Rahul alleged that Prime Minister Modi had devised the plan for “vote theft”, Amit Shah had designed its framework, and CEC Gyanesh Kumar had implemented it.
He claimed that all three would eventually be brought before the law and would have to pay a heavy price for their alleged involvement. Rahul also emphasised that protecting the Constitution was the responsibility of every Congress worker.
“Modi, Shah and Gyanesh Kumar will not be able to escape the law,” Rahul said, reiterating his allegations against the BJP leadership and the Election Commission.
Rahul Alleges Favouritism in Government Contracts
The Congress leader also accused the Central Government of creating a system in which government contracts were allegedly awarded to a select group of wealthy individuals.
With Goa scheduled to hold Assembly elections next year, Rahul appealed to voters to give the Congress a clear majority in the state. He also claimed that the political influence of Modi and Shah was approaching its end.
Rahul Claims 45 Cases Filed Against Him
Rahul said that around 45 cases had been registered against him by people allegedly connected to Modi and Shah. However, he questioned why no case had been filed against the Prime Minister over the alleged “vote theft”.
He claimed that the ruling leadership feared legal proceedings because such cases could bring the allegations into the judicial domain.
Rahul further alleged that the Congress had presented evidence of electoral irregularities in Madhya Pradesh, Haryana, Karnataka, Chhattisgarh, Maharashtra, West Bengal and Assam. According to him, votes supporting opposition parties had been deleted while votes favouring the ruling party had been added.
These claims form part of the Congress party’s broader allegations concerning electoral processes. The allegations against the Prime Minister, Home Minister and Chief Election Commissioner were presented by Rahul Gandhi during his address.
Congress Leaders Join ‘Go Rakshan Yatra’
As part of the programme, Rahul Gandhi joined Congress workers for a two-kilometre march during the ‘Go Rakshan Yatra’ in Margao.
The visit comes ahead of the Goa Assembly elections expected next year, with the Congress seeking to strengthen its political position and mobilise support against the BJP.
