The Bhubaneswar event brought together 187 elite athletes from 27 countries, including 88 Indian athletes. A total of 18 events, nine for men and nine for women, were held.
Athletes from countries including Great Britain, Jamaica, Kenya, Italy, Japan, South Africa, Brazil, Nigeria and Portugal added international depth to the competition.

Major Platform for Indian Athletes
The meet provided Indian athletes with an opportunity to compete against some of the world’s finest athletes on home soil. Such exposure is expected to help Indian competitors gain international experience and build confidence ahead of major continental and global competitions.
India’s athletics profile has strengthened significantly in recent years, led by Olympic champion Neeraj Chopra and the emergence of talented athletes across sprinting, jumping and throwing disciplines.

Odisha’s Sporting Transformation
Kalinga Stadium has become a symbol of Odisha’s sporting transformation. The venue has hosted major international events, including the 22nd Asian Athletics Championships in 2017, and continues to attract prestigious competitions.
With investments in sporting infrastructure and high-performance facilities, Bhubaneswar is steadily establishing itself as a global sporting hub.
From Temple City to Sporting Hub
Known as India’s Temple City, Bhubaneswar is increasingly gaining recognition for its sporting infrastructure and international events. Competitions such as the Continental Tour Silver not only showcase elite performances but also inspire young athletes and provide them with exposure to international standards.
The event at Kalinga Stadium therefore represented more than a competition. It reflected Odisha’s growing sporting confidence and India’s ambition to become a stronger force in world athletics.
